White text reads "a note from my studio no.004". The background is a tree growing on the shore of Lake Ontario on a partly cloudy summer day.

hi! it’s been a while since I’ve written to you… I took an unplanned hiatus due to a stressful family situation that is unfortunately still ongoing. I don’t want to share too much here but if you are someone who practices a form of meditation/ritual/prayer, I would really appreciate you keeping us in your thoughts.

Continuing to make art through this difficult period in my life has been really important to me, and I’ve had the opportunity to submit my work to two art shows and a maker’s market! (Life really didn’t miss the chance to remind me to feel all the lows and all the highs.) Keep reading to learn where you can find my art this fall/winter.

Exploring Horizons: Canadian Landscape Exhibition

My painting “First Impression, St’éx̱w’t’eḵw’s” will be on display and available for purchase at Articulations Art Supply’s Exploring Horizons: Canadian Landscape Exhibition!

If you’ve read my previous studio notes, you’ll know that this piece has been a long time coming. I started working on it in the spring of 2025 and I’m so excited to share it with you now in its final form!

    • When: October 15 to November 8, 2026 during operating hours
    • Where: 2802 Dundas St West, Toronto ON, M6P1Y5
    • Access notes: ground floor access
A painting created using gouache and water-soluble wax oil pastel on paper. A rocky islet stands tall in the center of the painting, emerging from coastal ocean waters. A formation of smaller rocks creates a path from the shore to the islet. The morning sunlight creates a stark contrast, painting areas of the landscape with bright light and sending others into shadowy darkness. The sky is mostly blue with some wispy clouds present throughout.

Square Foot Community Exhibition and Sale

My new mixed media piece, “The Lynx” will be on display and available for purchase at Ground Floor Arts’ Square Foot Community Exhibition and Sale.

      • I suggest planning to visit before December 5 as any pieces that have sold may already be picked up after this date!
    • Where: 112 C Wyndham St North, Guelph ON, N1H4E8
    • Access notes: ground floor access
A digital painting of a globe. White handwritten text reads "earthshakers creativity club". The background is a photo of a night sky with northern lights.
