Solidarity With Postal Workers

[2024, watercolour, ink] In solidarity with postal workers in so-called “Canada” and in solidarity with all workers across the globe! All workers deserve fair wages and safe working conditions! And all workers have the right to withhold labour as part of the collective bargaining process.

No Space For Hate

[2024, watercolour, ink] My take on the #NoSpaceForHate logo, in support of 2SLGBTQ+ rights across so-called Canada.

Textile

A maple leaf shaped rug is placed outside on green grass and fallen leaves. The rug is made of many different colours of yarn, evoking a leaf that has just fallen from a tree in autumn. These colours include rusty red, vibrant orange, golden yellow, and moss green. Dark brown yarn was used to create the veins of the leaf, and white yarn was used to create an outline. The rug is about 60 cm x 60 cm.

Two hand-embroidered patches attached to a black jacket - one on the left side of the chest, and the other on the right sleeve. The patches are inspired by the pre-show screen design from Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour. The design is reminiscent of the TV test pattern known as "SMPTE color bars". The colours used in the patches represent the colours of the Progress Pride flag.

7 mini rainbows arranged on a wooden background. The rainbows are made of cotton thread, rope, and wire; and all feature a string to hang them from.
